Marcus Ghiasi - MA, LMFT

I’m Marcus

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, founder of Bayside Wellness & Counseling, and a Bay Area native. As a second-generation Persian American, I value curiosity, creativity, and connection as tools for healing. I use a blend of evidence-based therapies including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you heal from trauma so that you can move forward with living the life you were meant to.

I work with…

• C suite leaders and professionals looking for practical, solution oriented therapy
• Men who want healthier ways to express and manage anger
• Teens and college students navigating direction, purpose, or major life transitions
• First time therapy clients who are curious but unsure where to start
• Individuals feeling stuck or blocked by recent or past trauma
• Health care workers and therapists experiencing empathy fatigue or burnout
• High functioning people who look fine on the outside but feel overwhelmed internally

My approach …

blends top-down and bottom-up work—because healing happens on multiple levels.

From a bottom-up perspective, I help you get to the root of what’s causing distress by identifying and working through core wounds and stored emotional pain. This process allows you to begin healing from the inside out.

From a top-down perspective, we’ll explore how these symptoms show up in your daily life—your relationships, your work, and your sense of self—and develop practical, effective ways of responding differently.

Most of the issues we experience in the present are symptoms of something deeper. My role is to help you understand that “something,” and guide you toward real, sustainable change. Our work is customized to your personal needs and is assessed throughout the treatment process to ensure we are making consistent progress towards your personal goals.
